The Syre textile-to-textile recycling solution provides circular polyester with quality on par with virgin polyester but with superior sustainability performance, reducing CO2e by up to 85% compared to the production of oil-based virgin polyester.
Virgin polyester is made by crude oil and the current recycled polyester, bottle-to-fiber (rPET), disturbs a perfect circular system as you can never go back to food grade PET bottles again. Textile-to-textile recycling enables a circular value chain and also offers better quality than rPET. We simply need to let bottles be bottles and textiles be textiles.
From linear to circular
Unlike virgin polyester and bottle-to-fiber (rPET), textile-to-textile is a circular recycling process meaning that the textile fibers can be recycled again and again.
Superior sustainability
We deliver superior sustainability performance, reducing the CO2e emissions by up to 85% compared to the production of oil-based virgin polyester.
High quality
We provide a circular polyester with quality and performance on par with virgin polyester and better than bottle-to-fiber (rPET).
Plug and play
We offer a plug and play solution for the existing value chain, enabling quick adoption with no switching costs.
Regional value chains
We will build vertically integrated value chains, closing the loop from textile waste to circular polyester in each region.
We are working with the apparel, automotive, and home interior industries, with the goal of turning textile waste into new, high-quality products, over and over again. Enabling that crucial shift from a linear process with virgin oil-based materials to a circular textile industry.
We seek collaboration and partnerships across textile industries and the full value chain in order to enable a healthy future of textiles. Do you want to be part in driving the textile shift together with us? Contact us at partner@syre.com.
